In May 2019, both the stars came into the limelight because of their frequent outings. They even went on a trip to Ladakh together but didn't post a picture with each other. Both the stars shared mushy posts on birthdays but when asked they hid their relationship under 'Just friends' tag.
While talking to TOI, Rhea had said, "Neither Sushant Singh Rajput nor I have ever admitted that, so it’s not true. Sushant and I are really good friends. I’ve known him for eight years now. We were in YRF together and we had the same manager for a long period."
Last year, it was being said that the couple is planning to take wedding vows. However, everything changed this year.
Sushant was found hanging at his apartment on June 14. Recently, Rhea stated that the actor was in depression and used to take drugs as well. The case is yet to be solved.
